i'd only read about this piece before reperforming it. checked it out on the youtube after filming and duh, IN 2 IT. bright washes of saturated color, underwater slo motion melting mirrored dream, CHRIS ISAAK, girls in bikinis: it's like a tour of my brain! thanks, pipilotti. so glad you exist.

OUR HANDS ON EACH OTHER
AVB associate Leah DeVun has a show up now at Women and Their Work!
as one of the models (and on behalf of the other bees featured in the beautiful sunset salutation group photo), i'd like to say that participating as a subject was an amazing, spiritually nurturing experience. for the brief time spent posing i felt a real connection to the history and enduring ideas of wimmin's land- sharing experiences and creating memories & futures for/with/by women. it was really special and empowering. thanks for including me (us), leah!!

AVB RE-PERFORMS: Lee does Yves
One gray Sunday morning in April I climbed up my roof to prove that Yves Klein is not the only one who can leap into the void to climb again unscathed.
There is something eminently satisfying to me to expose the truth of the leap: the friends waiting to catch. And let me tell you, falling face-first from your own roof top on your own tree lined street with your own perplexed neighbors looking on is perhaps the best thing you could do for yourself in Two Thousand and Ten.
